I’ve removed the HG/RW tag off Cantata where I’ve posted it.
This is really against my preference. I see the relationship as important to the story, otherwise what’s the point of the three voices? (Actually, there’s lots of reasons, but whatever.) But it’s my own insensitivity to blame at misreading the lingo of fanfic to make this error, so it complies with the rules now.
To my mind, the story is about relationships. Between the couples, between family and friends and coworkers, between the characters and themselves. My plotting bible contains diagrams of these relationships: across, together, against. To my mind, this is the same as laying out my GMC. Characters have desires that are aided or foiled by other characters, deliberately or otherwise.
I’ll include some variation of the above in the notes for the next release.

I’d replied to a few comments on Ashwinder that I will be putting Cantata on hiatus again at the end of Part 1, then I realized I probably hadn’t made that a public announcement.
So that’s what this is: a public declaration that Cantata will be going on hiatus in about 5-7 chapters.
Part 1 does fall at a natural break. Precious little will be resolved by then; Part 2 binds up all the loose ends. At this moment, all except one of the actors have been presented. All villains have been on page. Part 2 abandons the week-by-week structure; it will move more quickly (at least it feels quicker in reading and it’s more actiony and less charactery).

For some reason, it keeps getting deleted off Ashwinder. I think it’s related to the forum glitches they’ve been having, or it’s because this is a whopper chapter (67,800 characters/12,000 words). I’ve emailed support there.
I’m certain it’s not getting rejected by a human at Ashwinder.
UPDATE: I broke off the last chunk and it’s now enqueue. So, size limitation. Good to know.

The Garden of Love
By William Blake
I went to the Garden of Love,
And saw what I never had seen:
A Chapel was built in the midst,
Where I used to play on the green.
And the gates of this Chapel were shut,
And Thou shalt not. writ over the door;
So I turn’d to the Garden of Love,
That so many sweet flowers bore.
And I saw it was filled with graves,
And tomb-stones where flowers should be:
And Priests in black gowns, were walking their rounds,
And binding with briars, my joys & desires.
